15-March-2002
The Agent Beta Team has come across some compatibility issues with certain yEnc posting programs.
We recoginize that the vast majority of Agent users are decoders, not posters.
So, it's crucial that Agent work with all the popular posting programs.
As a result we're going to miss our
original March 15th deadline.
However, we are confident that we'll have these compatibility issues ironed out and
tested by next Friday, March 22rd.
We take our deadlines very seriously and it pains us to miss this one.
Bug Fixes in 1.91
During the delay (while the Agent Beta Team works with the new release), Mark has
fixed two important bugs:
-
Under certain conditions, the Groups and Folders list became corrupted when you
added, deleted or renamed a group or folder.
-
Sometimes Agent would freeze on startup or while launching URLs, when running
with certain versions of Windows and Internet Explorer.
Free Upgrade
On a final note, we'd like to remind everyone that Agent 1.91 is a FREE upgrade
for all registered Agent users.
Regards,
The Forté Team
